Gathering together all my puppy photos has been a nice trip down memory lane. Looking at Achilles photos, I don’t know how I missed this little spit fire.
He had tons of personality and Butch has been working with his owners. He keeps telling me Achilles is nice and I should have kept him for myself! I am glad he is in a loving home, but looking at these photos I couldn’t help but laugh

I am alive
I have a number of e-mails that I promise to respond to tomorrow before I take off….
I WILL get my litter announcement up before I leave…
I spent the day at training and then gathering together ALL the photos you great puppy owners have sent me
I want to create pages for all my puppies! And if you are one of those who haven’t sent me any photos… well, please send me some so I know my pups are alive and well.
Why I am posting my list of things to do versus doing them… I couldn’t tell you?!?!

Did I mention he wouldn’t put the freaking Wubba down?!?! Every time I tried to take it from him, he would go after my camera. Nikon D200 or Wubba…
He got the Wubba.

Ok guys, I am NOT officially back from my “trip of a lifetime,” but I will be shortly. As things are starting to wind down, I have been able to give more focus and attention on proper management of the farm. Yeah… we are turning into a farm here! So here is what is going on:
Cosmo has been bred to Arras this weekend, and we are keeping fingers crossed for a possible D-litter. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to knock out my litter announcement and post it here. It will list all titles and health testing of both sire and dam and what I am attempting to produce. And if you can’t wait for my announcement, you can read about Cosmo and Arras by clicking on their names
I am looking to do co-ownership on a couple of these puppies.
As for training, Frodo and I have officially started training in Schutzhund. Now don’t get me wrong, we have been dabbling here and there; but nothing too serious. My “trip of a lifetime” has kept me busier than expected.
Frodo did really well. I was very pleased with his performance. After working with a number of Dobermans, I have learned that when little things bother me in the begining they tend to develop into bigger problems as the dog moves along in training. I feel as if recently I have cycled through a number of dogs that people have “offered me” to try out and I couldn’t find what I was looking for. I was starting to think Jingo was a fluke, but with Frodo I am realizing that I was wrong. Although we have a long ways to go and lots of bridges to cross before we hit the competition field, I am thrilled that so far this dog has gave me NOTHING to worry about… well, other than he enjoys plowing into me at high rates of speed! Other than that, he continues to show me that he is very level headed, has tons of drive, wants to bite, wants to work for me, and is a very live-able dog. Every time I look at Frodo, I smile.
Butch says I need to thank him for this dog
I was just cracking up today when he was telling me about Alfred’s “tracking” in Germany. All Butch had to say was “Wow, there is a dog I like!”
I still have a couple things up my sleeve for up and coming stuff… but I can’t tell you guys everything

Mike gone, Snips sitting as wing man (with ball in mouth), and I am online shopping for dog supplies
So far up to $500 spent on supplements, creams, bones, toys, beds…. and I just stopped by 2 hounds designs! I LOVE those heart collars… they would look great on the girls!
I am trying to convince myself to wait for after valentines day, because they will go on sale.
On a brief food note: von Schlottke kennels is giving Merrick’s Before Grain dog food line an official thumbs down! Not sure if I mentioned it before, but Cosmo’s coat went to hell on it and we are back on Evo’s Red Meat. The thin spots are already looking better.
Everyone is about due for their annual Cardiac echo, will post results when I get them.

I hope everyone survived the New Year
I know I barely did!
I just wanted to say HUGE thank you to Lyn Kargaard of Viking Dobermans for helping me get my head together for the upcoming hell week I am facing. She invited me over for some relaxation. It was great to be able to sip coffee, look over the recent Doberman magazines, show me how to make my own leather leashes, and provided dinner for me too. I can’t tell you how much it meant to me… I feel fortunate to have such great friends.
Once I am back home, I will be updating Lyn’s site with photos of all the leather dog products she makes.
Hmm…. Lyn’s index page appears to be down?!?! I will try and fix that ASAP.
